Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving and I hope everyone has a great holiday season.

As you can see from my previous post, I have a new phone. It's a Verizon HTC Touch Pro 2. There are so many cool little programs available for it and there are a ton of programs that are free. One of them is Sporty Pal. It's a little program that uses the built in GPS sensor and maps out your exercises for you. It's easy to install and uses Google maps to show the area you just walked, run or jogged in and it shows your speed and calories used. Everyday, I engage the program before Gracey and I take off on our little morning walk in the park across from the apartments and it takes care of the rest. When done, you can upload the results to their website and keep track of it there and it also makes a copy on your phone. The link to their site is....

Long time since I posted

Sorry it's been such a long time since I posted anything. Judy and I are doing well in Corsicana and the new dog, Gracey, is doing great. She has escaped from me three times so far. Two were bad and I had to chase her and get in the car and it was just an ordeal getting her back. Once I just grabbed her before she realized she was free. Her neck is bigger than her head so she can slip her collar fairly easily so I have to watch her like a hawk. Judy has been working a lot so we have not had time to do anything together since we got here and she is working Thanksgiving week.

The weather here has been great though and Gracey and I go walking every morning in the park. I've lost about 20 pounds since we got here from Alaska. Go figure.

It is nice to be able to get anything you want, whenever you want it too. I have nearly forgotten about 14 dollar a gallon milk and the other expensive groceries in Alaska. We even have a Shwann's truck that brings us food every other week so it's like a big change from having to buy a huge amount of expensive groceries at once like we did in Alaska.

Since I picked up the dog Friday, we have been having lots of fun and walking a lot. Her name was Sally Mae and then Princess. So Judy wanted to name her Gracey so that is her new name. She is a Husky mix and is around two years old they think. She is in great shape and really like to play and run. She hates getting into her crate and does not like to get on the bed for some reason.

It's been raining today here in Corsicana so we only walked a little outside the apartments. She is OK with that because she does not like to get wet and it's been pouring most of the day. She has not barked once since I picked her up and she may not be able to bark I'm thinking.
